Installation & Restoration
Installing cabinets is a critical phase in both new construction and renovation projects. It involves precise measurement, secure fastening, and aesthetic alignment to ensure functionality and design integrity. Here at Cabinetworx, we offer both installation of new cabinets and restoration of pre existing cabinets.
Restoring cabinets is a cost- effective and sustainable alternative to replacement, often used in remodeling or historic preservation.

There are a couple strategies used for both installation and restoration. Here I will break it down a little more.
Cabinet Installation
Planning and Measuring: Accurate wall measurements and layout planning are essential. This includes accounting for plumbing, electrical, and appliance placement.
Cabinet Mounting: Upper cabinets are typically installed first to prevent working over base cabinets. Cabinets are then secured into wall studs using appropriate fasteners.
Alignment and Finishing: Proper leveling and spacing between units are maintained. Trim, crown molding, and hardware are installed to complete the look.
Cabinet Restoration
Assessment: The process begins by evaluating structural integrity, material condition, and finish wear.
Refinishing & Refacing: Sanding, staining, or painting can revitalize existing finishes. Refacing involves replacing doors, drawer fronts, and applying veneer to boxes.
Hardware Update: Replacing knobs, handles, and hinges improves both functionality and aesthetics. Damaged components like drawer tracks or cabinet bases may need reinforcement or replacement.
